A Brief History of Orwell, Vermont
On August 18, 1763, the Town of Orwell was chartered and its lands granted to 64 men. No settlement occurred in town for another eight years, however. Click here to read more

The Orwell Town Office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9:30am - 12 Noon and 1pm - 3:30
Fridays from 9:30am - 12 Noon and 1pm - 6 pm.
Closed Wednesday Saturday and Sunday
